Spring is here

Welcome Spring!  It is so nice to finally say it is Spring.  Around the farm it certainly feels like Spring too!  

Things that have been happening around the farm:  

Neil bought a couple of  planters and he has been customizing them to meet our needs.  He has put in a lot of time a work in getting the planters ready to go when it comes time to plant.

Neil also bought a new tiller.  On Saturday, March 20th, he and his dad tested it out.  It worked very well and will be so nice with it comes time to plant.  

Neil got the ground worked and ready to go.  He also was able to test the planter and planted 11 rows of different vegetables.

Another piece of equipment that we have and tested on Saturday was the plastic layer.  So far so good.  There will have to be a few minor adjustments made, but overall it works pretty good!

We have the pepper and tomatoes seeded for field production.

We have been starting seeds every week since February 1st.  As you can see in some of the pictures the vegetables are growing quite well.
